Support
Help with the Tabito iPhone app.
Contact us
Email support@tabitoapp.com. Tabito is made by one person, and every message is read. We usually reply within a few working days, but we cannot promise an exact time. In the app you can also open Settings, About, then Contact support, which starts an email that already includes your app version.
Please do not send passwords, full card numbers or passport numbers by email. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected, what happened, and your iPhone model and iOS version.
Common questions
My sign-in code email does not arrive
Check that the address is spelled correctly, then look in your spam, junk and promotions folders. Codes come from a Tabito sender at tabitoapp.com and are valid for 10 minutes. You can ask for a new code after about 30 seconds, but only a few times an hour, so wait a little if you have asked several times. A new code replaces the old one, so use the latest email.
If it still does not arrive, try Sign in with Apple or Google instead, or write to us. Note that signing in with the same email address by Google, Apple or an email code opens the same account, but Apple's Hide My Email addresses cannot be matched, so they create a separate account.
How do I restore my trips after changing phone?
Install Tabito on the new phone and sign in with the same method and account you used before (Apple, Google or the same email). Your trips, expenses and bookings sync back from your account.
Documents depend on where you stored them. Files in Google Drive come back once you sign in to the same Google account and choose Google Drive again in Settings, Import and export, Document storage. Files kept only on your phone stay on the old phone, so move them to Google Drive there first, or export them. Documents you had kept offline need to be downloaded again.
Where are my documents stored?
You choose: your own Google Drive, or only on your phone (iCloud Drive is coming soon). Tabito does not keep your document files on its own servers. With Google Drive, Tabito can see only the files it created itself. You can change the choice in Settings, Import and export, Document storage, and the app can copy your existing files to the new place. Read more in the privacy policy.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings, then Import and export. Under Export you can get an Excel workbook of all trips (the same layout as the import template, so you can edit it and import it again), a CSV of expenses, and a PDF itinerary for a trip, for example for a visa application. You can also reach it from Settings, your name, Account, Export my data.
Exchange rates are missing or look wrong
Rates come from public services and are saved on your phone. If none can be reached, for example when you are offline, the expense form lets you type your own rate. Totals are shown as converted at today's rates and are not a bank rate.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Home, tap your profile circle to open Settings, tap your name, choose Account, then Delete account. The full steps, and what is and is not removed, are on the Delete your account and data page. If you cannot open the app, email us from the address on your account.
The app crashed or something looks wrong
Update to the latest version, then restart the app. If it keeps happening, email us with what you were doing. If you use TestFlight, you can also send feedback from there. Crash reports are anonymous and can be switched off in Settings under "Share anonymous usage and crash data".
